A 30-boat fleet lined up for the 2025 Midwinters West, a key stop on the West Coast Sprint Series

The Etchells Midwinters West is the only three-day regatta in the West Coast Sprint Series, and one of the most important events of the season. It’s run under full class rules — with weigh-ins, sail declarations, and measurement compliance required — and features competitive racing and great socials each evening.

This event is not discardable in the Spring Series overall standings, making it a must-sail for any team with championship ambitions. The extra day on the water and strong out-of-town turnout create a true mid-season test of skill, preparation, and endurance.

Racing is held on ocean courses off Point Loma, with race management by SDYC and full shoreside hospitality throughout the weekend.
